Sanya’s Birth Story: I was dancing when I was 6cm dilated

I gave birth to my daughter on 13th of March 2019 at 9:55 am. My due date was 18th March.

For check-up doctor called me up on 11th of March. After doing check-up doctor said there is no preterm labor n we need to wait for another 3-4 days n I came back home. On the same day night, I started having mild cramps whole night which continued till 12th morning. After that, there was no pain.

At 8:30 pm on same day my water bag started leaking. I called Neeru aunty n told her. She said to have rest n wait till morning, she also had a word with my husband that how to deal in this situation, as he didn’t attend P101 labor class due to some reason and also he was totally dependent upon Neeru Aunty.

Leakage continued and at 10:40 contraction started.

At 2 am contractions were at peak and my lower back started paining a lot. My husband made me calm by giving me back massage (all thanks to Neeru aunty).

We waited till 3 am n rush to the hospital because back pain was unbearable.

At 3:30 am I was admitted to the hospital and I was 4 cm dilated which means I was in active labor. During the whole time, I was just walking which made me so calm and I was able to bear the pain. Breathing, dancing, and walking helped me a lot.

At 6:30 am I was 7 cm dilated and doctor told me that I’ll deliver before 9 am. That motivated me a lot. I was actually chilling in the hospital with a smile on my face. But after that I didn’t dilate till 8:30 am. That time doctor told me that baby didn’t descend n the head is not coming in the birth canal so we may go for c-sec.

At that v moment, I felt depressed n asked doctor to give me time to consult with my family if possible, she gave me half an hour n I had a word with Neeru aunty. She asked me to do exercises which may help baby descend. I started doing with exercises there n then.

After 45 mins at 9:15 am when doctor checked me again I was dilated but got to know that baby has passed meconium. And then there was no option n went through c-section.

My daughter arrives at 9:55 am. At the end, I am a proud mom that I could bear normal labor so calmly and also without epidural. This is just Bcoz of Neeru aunty. Without whom I couldn’t do all this. She was the most motivating force throughout the journey. Can’t thank u enough aunty..!! 😘 🤗..

Trust me as I went under labor also it is not that tough as we thought we really just need to keep calm that’s all.
