Meher’s Birth Story: My last month was full of Blood pressure complications

My 38th week had just started. My last month of pregnancy was full of Blood pressure complications.

I was on 7th dose and doctor had hinted if it doesn’t stabilizes we may have to go for C Section. I was getting more than desperate for a normal one after hearing this.

I had severe back ache since a week now and I was mentally very ready if it could lead to labour. It was Friday night I had quite visible white discharge i.e. mucus plug around 12 midnight But I was waiting for bloody show, still I randomly told my husband tomorrow might be the day.

I had normal stomach ache which I felt could because I was constipated but I thought if tomorrow’s going to be the day, I should better take sleep so I have enough energy to go through labour.

At 4 in morning i got up and contractions began as i was trying to clear my stomach, I somehow got out and my husband started timing my contractions. They were 6 mins apart lasting 30 seconds each, I waited for two hours to completely assure myself that i started having true pains and intensity started increasing with 5 mins difference.

I took stairs to come down from 11th floor and again climbed stairs to my 3rd floor hospital, It was a relief to know that i was 2 cm dilated when doc checked and admitted me to hospital. I insisted that i will go for walk and come back but then she said your dilation has begun so now no going out by 10, my pains were unbearable. I was trying to convince myself i will go thru without painless (Epidural) and then doctor said you are 8 cms dilated already and now the baby can come anytime.

I was literally exhausted with pains and coudnt take anymore and now the finale began, Push push push was all i could hear that was a task and finally my angel was out.

My husband was a strong support standing by me and trying to massage or try breathing techniques with me as taught in the class.

My doctor who supported me for a normal birth, would love to thank her and Thank u Neha ma’am and Tushita ma’am for motivating me to just go for it I had amazing memories at the Pregnancy 101 class and Love u all.
